Hello Dreamtale fans!

We are right now in the middle of recording a three-song promotional CD. It's going to be new material and hopefully we will get it ready by the end of July. Our new bassist Heikki is now a full member of the band and what a great guy he is! Soon you'll be able to hear his playing. The coolest thing is that he plays with his fingers, even songs like Eyes Of The Clown, Call Of The Wild etc., which are pretty fast...

I've been a little busy with my other band's recordings (http://www.kypck-doom-com), because we're recording a new album, too. The rest of the guys have had their summer vacation or something like that... And oh, Akseli is in the army still --- atteeenTION! Rolling Eyes

I played a cover-gig with Akseli on Midsummer Night. We did a lot of Purple, Dio and Rainbow stuff, which was a lot of fun.

We will put some info about the recordings on the Main Page, soon. And I think we can put out a small sample of all three songs for you guys to listen. I haven't written all of the lyrics to them, yet, but at least musically they are fantastic, guaranteed DT! Twisted Evil

Greetings from the studio! Very Happy

Well, we're now at the stage where I'm finally recording vocals for the three new songs we're working on... I'll try to keep you guys posted about what's going on a bit more often and hopefully we get those rough-mix samples at some stage.

We finished my vocals for one song on Tuesday 25th. It's a slow song, not quite a ballad, but something solemn... I think it'll be called "Reasons Revealed", though I haven't made up my mind yet.

The recording went alright, no big problems, and it took about 2hrs altogether with some backing vocals for the chorus. Obviously it's still in a very early stage and unmixed, but I believe it will be a solid track!

The next sessions will be early next week, when I start singing a 5-minute, extravagant power-metal piece that I think is called "Strangers' Ode" or something like that. It's not quite an epic song, because the structure is fairly straightforward, but it has so many time-changes and about 5-different parts to the basic verse that it might be called slightly 'epicy'... Razz

Are those songs for the myspace and things like that? Or is there a way to get the promo?

Hey all!

I was in the studio again today, with Pasi recording my vocals (yes, Pasi the former bass-player, that's the one) Razz

. It wasn't a very good day, I was in a hurry so we only had 1 hour of studio-time. And it wasn't the best day singing-wise, either. We almost finished the 2nd song, though. just a little bit of work was left to be done on the second verse. I'll do it next week, when we do the 3rd song as well...

The three songs will be called (95% certainty):

ANGEL OF LIGHT
REASONS REVEALED
THE STRANGERS' ODE

And they are mostly for promotional use only (they shall be included on the next album, of course) but we will give you samples of them once we get the final mix. Wink

Hey folks!
I'm glad to tell you that all the recording is over now and we are finished with the promotional demo CD. We got the mixed songs couple of days ago and we are quite satisfied with the mixing (and the songs of course Wink

)
We'll have it mastered soon and then give you some samples!
