Decompiling is a very touchy subject amoung map makers, i suggest this tool is used sparingly and only on Maps you have permission for.

The only reason to decompile a map is to learn how things are done.
to find out what entities were used how they linked and such forth.
Please do not "PORT " from maps if an author catches you porting ,
you will probably never hear the end of it.Porting is copying pieces of maps from different sources them bringing them together in one map.
If you need to do this , do it to learn by all means but dont expect to publically release your creations.
So by all means experiment but be careful, and try to obtain permissions from authors before decompiling Most will probably give you access to the original map file.

Here is the tools required. You must have GKT radiant installed to use this.

:firstly make sure the map you wish to decompile is in the base folder.

now u have to go to start menu and run and put this command in it with the quotation marks

"C:\Program Files\GtkRadiant-1.4\q3map2.exe" -convert -format map -fs_basepath "C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/" -game ja "C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/base/maps/mymapname.bsp"

replace the words mymapname.bsp with the bsp name of the map you wish to decompile.
